About Us

Mid State Development was established in 1980 as a private, not-for-profit organization. In 1981, it was licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Certified Development Company (CDC) to deliver the SBA 504 program to Kern County.

Awards

1999 - Named top lender for the first of FY 1998-1999 for the Fresno District, #2 lender (40 loans) among Certified Development Companies (CDCs) with a portfolio size of $10 to $25 million.

1998 - Awareded Greatest Increase in SBA 504 Loan Approvals of all CDCs with a portfolio size of $10 to $25 million. Outstanding Performance Award for top performing lender for Central California (Fresno District). We had a portfolio increase of $10.2 million in one year. Since 1997, Mid State has almost tripled its annual loan volume
